COVID-19 Precautionary Measures:
KBM Management is considered an “essential business” in the State of New York. We take our employee’s, client’s, colleague’s and vendor’s health seriously and our actions during this health emergency will reflect that. We will do everything in our power to provide a safe environment for necessary personal meetings as we continue to do business in our community. Our employees have been advised to adhere to all CDC guidelines for avoidance, identity and treatment of the COVID-19 virus. Any signs of illness, whether they match those identified by the CDC as symptomatic of COVID-19 or not, lead to our employee’s taking appropriate steps to treat said conditions.
At this time, 90% of KBM employees are working remotely from home to help reduce exposure to the virus. We encourage clients to continue to meet with our staff as scheduled through video conference or by phone. In those rare circumstances where a face-to-face meeting is necessary we will meet at KBM’s office location in East Syracuse. We continue to sanitize this location throughout the work day. We will be practicing “social distancing” techniques to lessen the risk associated with contracting an illness, or infecting others should we be asymptomatic but infected ourselves. This means we will not be greeting one another in the traditional way of a handshake. We will avoid any personal contact including sharing pens or keyboards. We will also maintain a 2-meter distance.
KBM employees will not be meeting at any off-site locations until further notice. Please work with your KBM Account Representative to utilize our video conferencing service for a virtual meeting.
We are certain you understand the temporary interruption to normal business and personal contact. Please let us know if we can accommodate you in any way as we attempt to do our part to lessen our communities’ impact from COVID-19.
KBM Management was founded in 1986 to address the needs of employers who felt helpless when seeking alternatives to their fully insured Group Health and Workers’ Compensation plans. We developed a stop-loss insurance market that allowed them to explore the ability to self-fund these plans. By un-bundling the components of fully-insured Group Health and Workers’ Compensation plans we allowed our clients to gain more control over claims and costs.
Our large group consulting experience led to KBM developing a small and mid-market client base of employers interested in partial and individual self-funding. We help our clients focus on driving down premium cost by educating employees on how to better utilize their benefits. KBM provides a full range of services to clients with as few as two employees through our Brokerage Division while continuing to work on a consulting (fee-for-service) basis for our larger self-funded and self-insured clients.
IN 2019, KBM SAVED CLIENTS OVER $2.5M THROUGH FUNDING RESTRUCTURING, BENEFIT RE-DESIGN, AND CLAIM AUDITS. SINCE 1986, KBM, A 2ND GENERATION FAMILY BUSINESS, HAS PROVIDED CLIENTS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF EXPERTISE IN BENEFITS CONSULTING.
